About Heartsigns
Heartsigns Internet Ministry was created to provide resources for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, their families, interpreters and all those who love and serve the Deaf community. We believe that the greatest resource we can provide is the message of Good News - the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We know that the awesome love of God for all people - deaf and hearing - has inspired this Internet ministry to reach people around the world with the comfort of the Scriptures and empowerment to live the abundant life.
For too many years, there has been no place for 'a religious relationship' in the daily lives of the Deaf. The love of God is only visible on earth through the actions of His people. The hearing community has set itself apart from the Deaf community - to their own great loss. We believe the time has come for the Deaf to have a place in the local church: not only for fellowship with God and man, but a place of service and involvement as well.
We intend to present the love of God to His people through Heartsigns Internet Ministry by posting resources for church, education, family life, community and interpretation for Deaf around the world. By presenting these resources along with the encouraging and enriching Word of God in a wholesome environment, we believe we can help the Deaf see the Gospel, and help the hearing see the Deaf.
In addition to Internet Ministry, Pastor CeCe and Phil Costa and their Staff also travel to churches who wish to establish a ministry for the deaf in their community. The grim statistics speak for themselves: there are approximately 346 million deaf in the world today, and less than 2% of those have ever seen the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If your church has a burden to reach hurting people in your community, we urge you to consider implementing a ministry for the deaf. We will come to your church, teach basic sign language classes, help you locate and become acquainted with the deaf in your area, and work with you as you begin the most rewarding journey of your Christian life!
